MC Employment Structure for the 2013-14 School Year

The MC employment structure will change somewhat next year.  There will be 13 undergraduate staff positions, broken down as follows:

Desk Coordinator (1)
The Desk Coordinator will work closely with the Administrative Assistant to assist with the supervision, recruitment, selection, training, and evaluations of the Desk Assistants.  They will coordinate regular 1:1 meetings with the staff, monitor shift schedules, control procedures, and will be responsible for payroll, desk operations, and facilities matters.

This position will hold the most responsibility out of the student employees.

Desk Assistant (6)
Desk Assistants will be responsible for one passive program per semester in addition to their main job duties of staffing the front desk at the MC.  They will service students and guests in a courteous manner, will answer the telephone and record messages as directed, maintain the physical space of the MC, check out recreational and educational materials, and will have biweekly 1:1 meetings with the Desk Coordinator.

Inclusion Coordinator (6)
Inclusion Coordinators will be responsible for two active educational or outreach programs per semester to advance the missions of ALANA, Pride, and the WRC.  They will also be required to maintain a minimum 2 hour front desk shift per week.

All positions will be required to attend monthly all staff meetings.  Desk assistants and inclusion coordinators will be required to attend biweekly training sessions, monthly center meetings, and biweekly 1:1 meetings with supervisors.
