South Korean Consul General Jeong Gwan Lee will be coming to Pacific on Thursday to discuss Escalating Tensions between North and South Korea

Consul General Lee is coming for the the Advancing Women's Leadership Forum with Condoleezza Rice, and the International Program and Services office (IPS) has asked him to stay a little while longer to discuss current affairs in Korea with the Pacific community.  Topics will include the current escalating tension between the North and South after the death of Kim Jong Il and the Korea - US Free Trade Agreement.  With the current media sensationalization of the rise of Kim Jong Un and the escalation of tensions in the region with North Korean missile tests, this is a great opportunity to learn more about what is really happening in this part of the world.
Though this event is open to all, the Consul General would especially like to reach out and talk to international Korean students and students of Korean heritage.  If you are Korean or Korean American, please come!  If you know anyone who is Korean or Korean American, please let them know!

The talk will be this Thursday, March 21, at 2 PM at the Bechtel International Center.  Refreshments will be provided.
